Academic backround: Our training and professional development go hand in hand with the principles of our alma mater, the UTFSM. We take the altruistic, visionary and philanthropic work of Federico Santa María Carrera as a starting point for contributing to the social and industrial progress of the nation. In this path, we always seek the highest standards of quality, with respect for people, current legislation and the environment.
Cultural exchange: In QUEMPIN we value the exchange and transfer of knowledge in general, promoting the studies and improvement of our professionals, since we believe that transculturation is a fundamental tool for the development of society.
Technological innovation: We are passionate about developing and accelerating cutting-edge combustion technology and gasification. This is why we give solutions to technical problems on efficient energy transformation fields, such as the production of goods and services, contributing to improving the quality of life of the community from Valparaiso.

QUEMPIN is an initiative born within the context of the IMPACTA ENERGIA contest, organized by the Government Laboratory in conjunction with the Ministry of Energy. The QUEMPIN team is formed by students, graduates, teachers and academic support from the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María (UTFSM).
QUEMPIN offers an innovating technology based on inert porous media burners for the industry that have a very high energy efficiency, reducing environmental pollution, and positively impacting the productivity and competitivity of the national industry.
Also, this technology is scalable and replicable to a large number of combustion processes.
